THE PAST TENSE
A.    Simple Past Tense (S + V2 + O)
1.      My mother went to Bandung yesterday.
2.      Last week my mother bought a new shoes.
3.      Ida got a letter from her boy friend this night.
4.      My little sister woke up late this morning.
5.      The ant bit the girl last Sunday.
6.      Flowers grew well in this garden last year.
7.      They left early the day before yesterday.
8.      My mother tore her dress yesterday.
9.      She drank too much ice juice last afternoon.
10.  The thief stole our TV last month.

B.     The Past Continous Tense  (S + was/were + verb ing + O)
1.      I was sleeping when the car crashed my home last night.
2.      She was reading a book while the library was closed.
3.      You were not listening to me when I told you to turn the oven.
4.      My mother was cooking in the kitchen when the fire broke out.
5.      What was he doing when I called him up ?
6.      The music stopped when the dancers were dancing on the stage.
7.      When I saw her, she was smoking a cigarette.
8.      Maudy and Ayunda were singing together in a TV show at 9 o’clock last night.
9.      We were having our meals when suddenly the lamp went out.
10.  The rain was pouring heavy when I arrived at home this night.


C.    The Past Perfect Tense (S + had + V3 + O)
1.      I had locked the door before I left my home.
2.      The truck had crashed a boy before it finally stopped.
3.      I was late, The train had left.
4.      My father had booked the hotel before we were there yesterday.
5.      She had studied English for more than one year before she went to New Zaeland.
6.      I knew it was Nathan who had taken the money.
7.      Ali went home after he had finished his work.
8.      Had you been there before I came ?
9.      The patient had died when the doctor arrived.
10.  Father said that he had seen accident himself.

D.    The Past Perfect Continous  Tense (S + Had been + Verb ing +O )
1.      When you telephoned her this morning, she had been writing some letter.
2.      By the time the teacher came, the students had been reading a half part of the next.
3.      When I entered her room, she had been playing the guitar for 15 minutes.
4.      She had been studying the whole week before She went  in  for the test.
5.      My mother had been workng in the kitchen for half an hour when I came home yesterday afternoon.
6.      She had been satnding in front of the door for 20 minutes before it was opened.
7.      He was annoyed since He had been waiting for 2 hours on the bus  station.
8.      When the war broke out we had been living in this town for about 5 minutes.
9.      My father had been reading the magazine , when I knowed at the door.

10.   Before he went to Singapore He had been studying English for 6 mounth.

A.   The Simple Present Tense :  S+V1+O
1.     She always had breakfast before going to school.
2.     Wildan the hoby jogs every day.
3.     I pay tax every month in bank.
4.     She watch korean drama in laptop everyday.
5.     My father sometimes drink tea in the afternoon.
6.     We learn language english in the schol.
7.     Do they remember my birthday ?
8.     We dont  see the rainbow this morning.
9.     My mother reads a online shop newspaper.
10.            Manda drives her motorcycle carefully.

B.   The Present Continuos Tense :  S+ am/is/are +verb-ing +O
1.     My mother is calling policy becausethere robbery.
2.     Listen ! someone is crying in the next room.
3.     Students are enjoying doing discussion.
4.     She is not eating dimsum now.
5.     Doctor is still examining patient.
6.     Is Aldan going to the beach with her friend ?
7.     Iam drawing flowers at home now.
8.     They boy are playing basket ball in the suare.
9.     You are drinking too many ice juice.
10.            The teacher is teaching us now.


C.   The Present Perfect Tense : S+Have/has +V3+O
1.     The train has left the station. I have to go by taxi
2.     She has eaten lunch.
3.     He has lost his book. He can not write the lesson now.
4.     She has driven the car.
5.     She have bought a fashion in mall.
6.     I have not listening rock song in my bedroon.
7.     She has opened refrigerator. It is fresh fruits.
8.     I Have finished my homework.
9.     You have seen that movie in bioskop.
10.            He sent the invitation to my mother.

D.   The Present Perfect Continous Tense : S+have/has +been +verb-ing +O
1.     He had been writing letter.
2.     Ali has been going in Solo.
3.     She has been studying English at school since 2000.
4.     I have been to Anyer before.
5.     Has been Tita driving the car to her office yet ?
6.     I have been working there for  about six years.
7.     He has been sick for one day in the hospital.
8.     There have been many floods in bali.
9.     She has been studying in Gunadarma since 2016

10.            Mr. Fandy has been teaching at Gunadarma University since 2001.
